The Timeline

Georgia's Home Health EVV Deadline

Georgia Medicaid has updated the dates for Home Health EVV. Here's a breakdown of what every home health agency needs to know.

Do I have to use Netsmart Mobile Caregiver+?

No!

Georgia offers Netsmart's Mobile Caregiver+ as the state-selected EVV system at no cost, but providers can choose their own EVV solution instead. If you go that route, your system still has to meet DCH and Cures Act requirements and integrate with the state's EVV aggregator — that's exactly what GEOH does for you.

The Two Key Dates

August 31, 2026 — Soft go-live begins. Use this window to prepare.
September 14, 2026 — Home Health claims with a date of service on or after this day must be submitted via EVV.

What Claims Are (and Aren't) Affected

Claims for services with a date of service on or after September 14, 2026 must go through EVV. Claims for services provided before that date are not subject to the EVV requirement, so agencies have a clear line to work toward.

What to Do During the Soft Go-Live

DCH recommends providers use the soft go-live period (starting August 31) to complete these steps before the September 14 requirement kicks in:

  • Register your administrator(s)
  • Register all users
  • Complete all required training
  • Start using the EVV mobile app with members
  • Download the EVV mobile app for all providers and service workers
  • Load schedules and member data
  • Determine which members will need telephony

Home Health Service Codes Affected

The following Home Health service codes fall under the EVV requirement:

92507 97161 97162 97163 97164 97165 97166 97167 97168 G0151-59 G0152-59 S9122 S9123 S9124

EVV is a federal mandate under Section 12006 of the 21st Century Cures Act, designed to verify the date, time, location, and type of service provided to each member.
