Why Using The Free EVV App is Not a Good Solution

As agency owners, you know all too well that EVV is not only necessary but can also be one of the most frustrating tasks you have to tackle on a regular basis. With so many different billing apps and software options available, it can be difficult to know which one is the right fit for you and your agency. While many apps may promise to be the “EVV Software” of your dreams, we’re here to tell you that the provider apps just aren’t it. Keep reading to find out why. 

1. Lack of features: One of the biggest drawbacks to the free EVV apps is the lack of features and options available to help you run your agency.  For instance in Indiana, the free EVV app will round your units incorrectly, costing you more units than you need to use for your billing! Costing YOU more money! Yikes!

As agency owners, we rely on a variety of software solutions to run our businesses smoothly and efficiently. From project management tools to time tracking software to accounting platforms, there are a lot of different tools we need to integrate with our billing solutions. Sadly, the free EVV apps do not have many integration options available, which means we’re left to do a lot of manual data entry and juggling between different systems. 

3. Poor Customer Support: When we have questions or issues with our billing software, we need support that’s responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case with the free EVV apps. Many users have reported long wait times, unhelpful responses, and even outright dismissal from the app’s customer support team. As agency owners, we can’t afford to waste time on ineffective support, and the free EVV Apps just don’t cut it in this regard. But, we may know a company with awesome customer support.

5. Outdated Interface: Last but not least, the free EVV apps just look and feel outdated compared to GEOH. With clunky menus, confusing layouts, and limited design options, it’s not a platform we enjoy spending time on. It leaves caregivers frustrated and wanting to leave your agency.  

We need billing software that’s intuitive, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing, and unfortunately, the free EVV apps just don’t deliver on those fronts.
