A message from our Founders regarding COVID-19

It seems every day brings new changes to our cities, so we wanted to reach out and address the current impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and share more about the proactive steps we’re taking at GeoH. We also want to unequivocally emphasize that our employees and client’s (and their patients) well-being and peace of mind is our top priority. Please know that every single GeoH team member is dedicated to doing their part and helping in any way we can to support our employees, clients, and all our communities during this time of uncertainty.

As the challenges of COVID-19 continue to evolve, GeoH is committed to service. The nature of work in Home Health Care does not allow us to work in isolation, and like you we are striving to balance our obligations to our employees and our service obligations to our clients with the welfare of the general public. We have implemented procedures to further protect our employees and clients moving forward and will continue to do so as outlined by the CDC and WHO.

At GeoH, we are guided by our purpose of looking out for people – and as always, our first priority is the safety and security of our clients, colleagues, and communities. As such, we wanted to offer a way to better help your agency maintain the safety of your patients through visits with Caregivers/Nurses.

We are launching an add-on which, when enabled, will ask both the person delivering as well as the person receiving the services some questions prior to starting their visit. These would include the following:

  • Have you experienced a fever in the last 14 days?
  • Have you experienced a cough (outside of the normal) in the last 14 days?
  • Have you been in direct contact with anyone with the COVID-19 virus?
  • Have you experienced shortness of breath (outside of the normal) in the last 14 days?
  • Have you been or anyone you have been around including family and friends traveled out of the country within the last 14 days?

Any affirmative or “yes” answer will stop the visit from occurring and notify the administrator or person designated of the issue.

Our hope is that this assists in protecting the aged population we all serve and adds peace of mind for your clients. We will notify you when the launch is complete, but we wanted to make you aware of this option we hope makes this unprecedented situation more manageable.

At GeoH, our hearts go out to everyone affected by the coronavirus (COVID–19) pandemic. As even the Missouri Home Health Conference (MAHC) has been cancelled, now is a pivotal time to look out for one another.
